busting feeding myths

Our blab for Better Hearing and Speech Month (BHSM) was a huge hit! We had Melanie Potock, M.A, CCC-SLP on the ezpz Mealtime Show talking about feeding myths and busting them with research, ideas, techniques and fun! We talked about tips from her book Raising a Healthy Happy Eater and even gave our audience a peek at her new book Baby Self Feeding (coming out in a few weeks)! We were so happy to have so many parents and professionals watch and join the show! Coach Mel even ended the show with a surprise…martini glasses (you have to watch the show to find out why…). Here are a few of the myths we discussed and busted!
- Sippy cups – don’t leave home without them
- Skip purees and give baby whatever you’re eating
- Stop playing with food
- He doesn’t like the taste
- Booster seats boost kids up
